I tell my boys i love them every single day, even if we've having a bad day and i'm stressed out, i make sure it's the last thing i say before Seb goes to sleep at night, i want him to know how loved and precious he is. My mum is also constantly telling the boys(and me) that she loves us.
This week Seb has started to say it back, i won't lie, the first time he said it i got a bit tearful. Of course realistically i know he loves me and we have a great bond but it is so amazing to hear those words being said back even though he doesn't really understand the full meaning of them.

DeleteI fully agree with you! My son is 6 and I tell him I love him every night when he goes to bed along with "Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite" - bit of a ritual now and he always says it back :)
